Quality Control Lab Technicians are responsible for maintaining quality assurance, consistency, conformity, and general fitness of use of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- This role will be responsible for closing and tracking work orders, printing, delivering, or applying labels to containers to prep for early AM shipments to customers and inter-site.
- Support for (AM or PM) QC lab operations including record keeping, filing and basic quality testing.
- Operate lab equipment.
- Maintain laboratory hygiene and safety.
- Work with Commercial Team and Customer Service to send out requested product samples (SC).
- High school diploma or higher education and some advanced education preferred but, not required in lieu of experience in lab or medical setting and or a combination of education and training.
- Display excellent interpersonal and communication/team skills.
- At least one year in a quality oriented or data entry position (packaging, laboratory testing, logistics, customer service, medical) preferred.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices.
- Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong observation skills and willingness to consult with others to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to deal positively with changing priorities.
- Proficient with computer applications.
- Always represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
This position has no direct reports. The hours for this role are from 4:00pm to 12:00am Monday through Friday. The first 1-2 months the position would train on first shift, 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
Work EnvironmentWork is typically performed in an inside, temperature-controlled environment. Works and travels throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity, and wears personal protective equipment, as required. Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor, and fumes in the normal course of production. The Company has been and is committed to eliminate these conditions to the extent possible through the application of design engineering.
