About the Opportunity
A leading Tier-1 automotive supplier in northwestern Georgia is seeking a Production Control Supervisor to lead and optimize daily scheduling across a fast-paced, 3-shift manufacturing operation. This role is critical in ensuring smooth production flow, efficient material usage, and on-time delivery for a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
You'll lead a team of up to 5 direct reports, driving excellence in scheduling, production planning, and inventory control, while collaborating closely with operations, purchasing, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily scheduling for a 3-shift manufacturing operation, ensuring customer commitments are met.
- Act as Master Scheduler, developing and implementing detailed, constraint-based production schedules.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials, fabrication materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Implement and oversee effective production and inventory control systems.
- Provide technical expertise in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor experience preferred).
- Manage and develop the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address material status, planning issues, and process improvements.
- Prepare regular performance reports on production objectives, efficiency, and compliance.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of up to 5 direct reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred (not required).
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, and control in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong ERP/MRP systems knowledge (Epicor preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing, logistics, and production processes.
