Shift: 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday – Thursday
Job SummaryThe Process Technician role is responsible for setting up and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. This position works closely with production teams to keep equipment functioning properly and production running smoothly, following Altor Solutions’ standards for Safety, Quality, and Production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Develop the molding process for each tool to achieve optimum cycle times while producing high‑quality products that meet customer standards.
- Improve the quality of molded products through process enhancements.
- Reduce costs by decreasing scrap rates on each tool.
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to recommend details for new tooling construction, including filling device, ejector type and location, non‑fill side selection, bypass location, draft, and other mold cavity features.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to recommend modifications to tools that improve the molding process.
- Assist operators with packaging concerns.
- Set up and maintain production equipment for efficient and safe operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Ensure all equipment functions properly and efficiently.
- Work closely with production teams to set equipment to meet production needs.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance, following plant‑specified job specifications and task lists, and completing required paperwork.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and policies, including lockout/tagout.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement / Work Experience- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–6 months of relevant manufacturing experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience changing molds with knowledge of the EPS molding process.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge or experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

The job requires occasional lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Vision: close vision needed to read gauges, paperwork, and visual cues. The role involves regular sitting, standing, walking, using hands and fingers, talking, hearing, reaching, stooping, bending, squatting, stretching, twisting, and working with machinery and hand tools. PPE includes hearing protection, safety glasses, steel/composite toe shoes, and gloves.
Critical thinking for complex problem solving, and working at heights using a ladder are required.
The environment is typical of manufacturing settings with proximity to associates, materials, and machinery. Noise is moderate to high; ear protection is required. Exposure to heat, cold, and wet/damp conditions may occur. Moderate exposure to heat and cold depends on external weather conditions.
