Chemical Production Operator

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Production Operator to join our team at our Rome, GA facility. As a key player in our production process, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring chemical production equipment, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Operate and monitor chemical production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and resolve any issues.

Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including batch logs and quality control reports.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve production processes and efficiency.

Move controls to adjust feed and flow of liquids and gases through equipment in specified sequences
• Open valves or operate pumps to admit or drain specified

Participate in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.

Adhere to all environmental regulations and company policies regarding chemical handling and disposal.

Package materials into a variety of containers per customer specifications

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.

Previous experience in chemical production or a similar industrial environment preferred.

Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a chemical production setting.

Ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.

To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility in a satisfactory manner through individual effort or effective and appropriate collaboration. Additionally, the well-qualified candidate will have the following education and experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent GEDThe ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations

Be certified in proper forklift use and safety Chemical Production Operator - Rome Polyventive, LLC_ Chemical Production Operator  HR Dept Controlled Document Must remain clean shaved as a requirement for the position for proper fit for respirator

Strong observation skills and willingness to consult with others to resolve issues in a timely manner

Ability to deal positively with changing priorities

Good interpersonal/communications/team skills

Basic computer proficiency

Ability to lift and carry up to 50LBsAbility to maneuver and go up and down stairs

Ability to negotiate and maneuver on slippery floors Work Environment:
Works and travels throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity, and wears personal protective equipment, as required. Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor, and fumes in the normal course of production. The Company has been and is committed to eliminating these conditions to the extent possible through the application of design engineering. The Company also provides a variety of safety equipment to keep all associates safe and within OSHA standards.
