TWISTER OPERATOR - B SHIFT

• Set up, operate and tend a large number of machines organized into a frame that twist yarn together.
• Creel single or double ply yarn packages.
• Loads yarn into twister.
• Repositioning buggies of yarn at the twisters.
• Threading ends of single yarns and operating the spindle.
• Must be able to follow the spec sheet.
• Selects and stages tubes for winder operation.
• Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs.
• Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and production standards.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and de-choke spindles to maintain machine efficiency to meet production requirements.
• Stays informed of applicable OSHA and company guidelines and operating procedures, and proactively identifies unsafe working, building, and other environmental conditions to management for resolution.
• Ensures compliance to all company and regulatory safety and environmental guidelines and practices including wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Assist in keeping working area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Obey all safety rules and regulations.
• Immediately report to supervision all hazards, accidents, and/or injuries, no matter how slight.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous yarn or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to read and write in Standard English.
• Ability to read and write numbers.
• Pay attention to details.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Possess multi-tasking skills.
• Maintain an acceptable level of attendance in accordance with company and department guidelines.
• Communicate in standard English to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and to keep simple records and make reports.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and twist without restrictions.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Work in an environment that is noisy, non-climate-controlled facilities, and high traffic production floor.
• Must be able to work around moving machine parts.
