Work Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts – 7pm-7am, rotating weekends

Minimum Pay: $35 per hour

Sign on Bonus: $15,000

* Up To 20% differential of total base pay based on level advancement, aligned to education and certification progression to support career growth.

• Administers medications and treatments safely and effectively.
• Develops and implements nursing care plans.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Sets patient-centered goals and prioritizes patient needs.
• Creates detailed care plans tailored to individual patient requirements. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Regularly evaluates and adjusts care plans based on patient progress.

• Administers all types of medications correctly per age group for all populations served according to policy.
• Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge of all equipment used on the unit.
• Performs daily rotational task assignment as directed.
• Supervises Nursing Assistants in basic nursing functions (bed making, toileting, oral care, hair and nail care, baths, and comfort measures) and demonstrates safe patient ambulation and transfer procedures, checking, turning, and repositioning every two hours.
• Serves as a preceptor as necessary.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively.
• Gathers data, assesses, and reassesses all populations served, performs primary assessments of newly admitted or transferred patients, and completes hard copy care plans.
• Documents and communicates patient data clearly and concisely, initiates and implements phone and verbal physician orders promptly and accurately, and collaborates with the healthcare team, including the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge RN, other RNs, and physicians, under HIPAA and confidentiality policy.
• Collaborates on Care Plan input.
• Establishes priorities in planning, organizing, and implementing patient care based on nursing assessment, considering the patient/family’s psychosocial, cultural, and circumstantial situations. Evaluates patient response to interventions with RNs.
• Recognizes emergency codes, infection control, life safety, fire plan, age-specific safety concerns, proper body mechanics, and ergonomics, and implements measures when needed in collaboration with the RN, supervising nursing assistants during events.
• Understands the Computerized Physician Order Entry Process and proficiently uses the electronic medical record to retrieve patient information.
• Monitors the electronic medical record for new physician orders and diagnostic results.
• Provides necessary and appropriate education to patients and families from admission through discharge, including plan of care, medications, tests, procedures, disease process, and discharge instructions, initiating and documenting the education provided and patient responses.
• Thoroughly understands hospital policies, procedures, and legal aspects of acute care nursing.
• Communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Possesses basic computer skills, including experience with an Electronic Health Record.

• Associate's of Nursing – Required
• Bachelor's of Nursing – Required

• 1+ years of current clinical experience – Preferred
• 2+ years of hospital experience – Preferred

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) – Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) – Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) – Required
• Certified Med-Surg Nurse (CMSRN) – Preferred
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) – Preferred
• Acute/Critical Care Nursing - Adult (CCRN) – Preferred
