Travel Nurse RN – Med Surg (Rome, NY)

13-week assignment; 36 hours per week; 12‑hour night shifts.

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment.

Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
