Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN will play a vital role in supporting our medical providers through clinical coordination, medication management, patient care, and administrative nursing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with daily clinical operations.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling for medical and psychiatric appointments.
  • Perform and document patient vital signs.
  • Collect and process urine drug screens.
  • Assist with medication ordering, medication refills, prior authorizations, and medication reconciliation.
  • Monitor medication inventory and communicate medication-related concerns to providers.
  • Assist patients with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short-Term Disability (STD), and other medical paperwork.
  • Coordinate laboratory orders and communicate results to providers when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure continuity of care.
  • Respond to patient questions and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine, primary care, or outpatient settings is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with medication management and refill requests.
  • Familiarity with urine drug screening protocols.
  • Knowledge of controlled substance regulations.
  • Experience assisting with disability and FMLA paperwork.
