American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position requiring at least 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience and recent EPIC EMR experience.
Details- Work in a 23-bed Level III NICU within a teaching hospital with Level 2 Trauma designation
- Average daily census of 12-15 patients
- Patient population includes infants 23 weeks gestation and above
- Common conditions include respiratory distress, micro-premies on bubble CPAP/oscillator, drug and alcohol exposed infants (eat/sleep/console), hypoglycemia, bili babies, and feeders/growers
- No surgical interventions or ECMO cases
- Patient ratios range from 1:1-3 depending on acuity, up to 1:4 for feeders/growers only
- 12-hour day shifts from
- Every other weekend rotation required
- No on-call or call-back requirements
- No floating required
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- STABLE certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required within the last year
- Skills required include IV placement, NG/OG feeding tube placement and management, central line care (UAC/UVC/PICC), assisting with bedside procedures, critical drips, admissions, and peripheral lab draws
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Support team includes 24/7 NNP and NICU RT coverage, daytime OT-CLC, two neonatologists on-site during the day and on-call at night, HUC/CNA support, 24/7 charge nurse, daytime manager/supervisor, and daytime lactation consultant
- Unit uses Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Angel Eye milk prep room technology, and Medfusion syringe pumps for fluids and feeds
- Orientation includes NEO program plus 2-3 shifts depending on experience and comfort level
- Holiday coverage required for every other holiday or 50% of holidays within the contract
- Self-scheduling available in 6-week increments with manager final approval, released approximately 2 weeks prior to start of schedule
- Navy blue scrubs required

- No radius rule applies for local candidates in GA facilities, with the same rate offered
- Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year following a permanent position
