Job Summary

We are a Tier‑1 automotive supplier located in Northwestern Georgia, specializing in precision metal stamped and welded components. We are looking for a dynamic Quality Manager to lead our quality strategy at a key manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy a world‑class quality management system (QMS) aligned with IATF 16949, setting new benchmarks for industry standards.
  • Inspire and mentor a high‑performing team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
  • Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and cutting‑edge quality tools.
  • Orchestrate seamless APQP, PPAP, and PPMP processes to ensure flawless product launches and unwavering customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively address and resolve customer quality concerns, turning challenges into opportunities for growth.
  • Lead internal and external audits, demonstrating commitment to transparency and compliance.
  • Leverage data‑driven insights to monitor performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain robust quality documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across all processes.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to embed quality into every aspect of operations.
  • Develop and deliver engaging training programs, empowering the team to excel in quality standards.
  • Strengthen supplier relationships through strategic audits and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as the primary quality expert, representing our commitment to excellence in all interactions.
Qualifications
  • Be able to perform the job as described, driven by excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven success in a quality management role within a Tier‑1 automotive supplier, ideally with metal stamping and welding experience.
  • In‑depth knowledge of IATF 16949 and a track record of implementing and maintaining a robust QMS.
  • Expert understanding of APQP, PPAP, PPMP, FMEA, and other essential quality tools.
  • Proven ability to lead successful internal and external audits.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a knack for innovative solutions.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve extraordinary results.
  • Strong understanding and application of lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and relationship management.
  • Certified CQM or CQE certification preferred.
