Baker and Packager Associate

Position Summary

Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and keeping things organized? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members by following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. You’ll juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders.

• Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with team members and be flexible to the needs of the business by working in other areas as required.
• Be an Expert: Prepare bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes; wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies; maintain food safety, sanitation, cold‑chain compliance, and inventory management; sanitize equipment and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
• Be an Owner: Commit to operational excellence; maintain the work area per company policies; ensure quality and date‑control standards; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member’s experience, modeling high‑quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest possible level, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; use the Open Door Policy and apply these in daily processes.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change and feedback.
• Provide excellent customer service to members across the club; greet, thank, and answer questions; maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area.
