Eye Dr Now  is a boutique eye care and optical practice in Rome, GA seeking a hands-on Optical Office Manager to lead daily operations, support our ophthalmologist, and help patients from their first call through picking up their glasses.

Success here means patients feel heard and cared for, more inquiries become booked and completed appointments, and more patients confidently purchase eyewear that suits them. We want someone who takes ownership of measurable sales and service results.

This role combines patient service, eyewear sales, appointment follow-up, exam support, and staff leadership. An experienced optical associate or lead ready for more responsibility is encouraged to apply.

$20–$24 per hour in guaranteed base pay, depending on relevant experience, plus a performance bonus tied to profitable optical sales growth. The written bonus formula and payout terms will be explained before you accept an offer. Incentive earnings vary and are not guaranteed.

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
• Wednesday and Sunday off.

In person in Rome, GA. Paid hours and breaks will be explained during the hiring process.

• Answer inquiries, book and confirm appointments, return missed calls, and follow up on cancellations and patients due for visits.
• Listen to each patient and recommend flattering frames suited to their prescription, fit, personal style, lifestyle and budget. Explain options clearly, handle concerns with empathy, and confidently ask for the appropriate sale or appointment.
• Track glasses orders, lab updates, remakes and pickups through completion.
• Coordinate daily staff responsibilities, coach follow-through, and keep the office organized and ready for patients.
• Support patient intake, exam preparation and preliminary testing within your training and under the ophthalmologist’s direction.
• Perform optical measurements, adjustments and dispensing only within your qualifications and required onsite supervision.
• Maintain accurate sales, payment, inventory and applicable insurance records while protecting patient privacy.
• Provide a consistent, voluntary opportunity for patient feedback and resolve service concerns.
• Review completed appointments, collected optical sales, product costs, remakes and unfinished work with the owner.

• Optical or eye care practice experience strongly preferred, with evidence of eyewear sales, appointment follow-up and patient service. A good eye for frame styling and the ability to explain why a frame suits a patient are important.
• Own commitments, communicate obstacles early, and follow through until work is complete. Experience leading coworkers or owning daily operations is valued.
• Comfort personally handling phones, patient follow-up, eyewear sales and routine office work.
• Ability to use scheduling and practice software, maintain accurate records, and explain prices and options clearly.
• Georgia dispensing optician licensure is valued; duties for unlicensed staff require appropriate supervision. This position does not independently perform eye examinations or make clinical decisions.
