Service Technician II

Position Summary:

The Service Tech/ Mechanic will diagnose mechanical failures and repair tractors and tractor components according to manuals, factory specifications, and knowledge of engine performances. Service Tech / Mechanics work in repair facilities with other techs and other departments.

• Diagnosing mechanical failures and repairing tractors and tractor components according to manuals, factory specifications, and knowledge of engine performances.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments to perform repairs.
• Experience of diagnostic software.
• Reading meters and gauges of testing equipment to diagnose engine malfunctions. Removing and disassembling engines, transmissions, and clutches for repair.
• Inspecting parts for damage and verifying dimensions and clearances of parts for conformance to factory specifications.
• Replacing or repairing worn or damaged parts.
• Organizational /clean characteristics
• Occasionally welding defective body or frame parts.

• Furnish own tools.
• Completion of vocational programs in diesel mechanics is not required but is a plus.
• Strong mechanical skills and experience working with diesel systems, hydraulic system, and electrical systems.
• Attention to details and work as a team is required.
• Completing work orders and final documentation
• Time management
• Ability to travel on occasion is a plus.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday-Friday 8am-5pm on site in Rome, GA
