Position:Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location:Rome, GA

We are looking for individuals with 5-10 years mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment. Candidates must be familiar with basic hand tools and precision equipment. Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is required. Some electrical experience is preferred and Industrial Waste Water Treatment system experience a plus. We are seeking a well‑rounded individual, able to work with minimal supervision, to join our team in a fast‑paced work environment.

• Maintain good working order of all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing and carpentry in the department.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedule is followed and completed.
• Perform metal fabrication, welding and cutting with a torch when necessary.
• Conduct minor electrical work.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Works with minimal level of supervision. Issues and concerns must be communicated to the Maintenance Department Manager.

Accountable to the Maintenance Department Manager for the quality and timeliness of tasks performed.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5-10 years mechanical experience in an industrial environment.

• Maximum lift: 50 pounds.
• Lowest reach: 0 feet; highest reach: 5 feet.
• Frequency: 4–6 hours per 12‑hour shift.
• Maximum carry: 20 pounds over a maximum distance of 100 feet.
• Maximum push/pull force: 20 pounds; distance: 5–10 feet.
• Reach up required up to 12 hours per day with a 5‑lb weight.
• Occasional ladder or platform climbing, working at heights up to 35 feet.
• Work primarily standing; frequent stooping, bending and kneeling required.
• Maximum continuous walking/standing: 3 hours.

• Operate boom lift, squeeze lift and forklift.
