Position: Travel Officer (Reporting And Monitoring)
Experteer Overview  In this role you will support and oversee FAO’s global travel programme with a focus on reporting, data management, and system testing. You will work within the Logistics Services Division at FAO HQ in Rome, guiding travellers and staff on travel policies and ensuring data accuracy for oversight and audits. You will drive improvements in travel reporting, contribute to policy updates, and coordinate system enhancements with IT.

This is a data-informed, compliance‑driven position that helps scale and safeguard travel services globally. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable travel information and ensure adherence to UN travel rules.

Provide guidance to travellers and senior staff on travel issues
Oversee FAO's global travel programme reporting
Generate and verify travel data reports for internal/external stakeholders
Identify data/reporting improvements and design/test solutions
Maintain accurate travel databases, records and process docs
Coordinate travel system QA/testing and liaise with IT for enhancements
Develop training materials and build capacity in travel administration
Suggest efficiency improvements and policy updates
Verify invoices for payment against contracts and services rendered
Perform other duties as required
Responsabilità   Advanced degree or equivalent; three years of relevant travel systems/programme management experience
Three years of experience in travel systems, programme management, data reporting and analysis
Working knowledge of English and another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) at level C/B
Familiarity with UN travel rules and regulations is an asset
Specialized training or certification in travel management is desirable
