Operations Analyst - Business Developpment  In this role you support IFC’s Western Europe business development in Italy, helping expand the client base and deepen relationships with sponsors and intermediaries. You will coordinate with sector teams to originate transactions, conduct market research, and manage the investment opportunity pipeline. You’ll organize events and facilitate management visits to raise IFC’s visibility in the Italian market.

This role offers the chance to contribute to development impact through private sector investment and cross‑regional collaboration, within a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.
Support business development across MAS and INR sectors
Conduct industry and market research using internal and external sources
Maintain and map the pipeline of potential clients
Perform desktop reviews and preliminary financial analyses
Identify and contact key executives; build client relationships
Support identification and development of investment opportunities and client service during the transaction process
Coordinate with IFC industry teams to manage client relationships
Analyze operational and financial performance and evaluate risk/benefit of new transactions
Support partner/intermediary relationships and position IFC in private sector initiatives/events in Italy
Organize webinars, round tables, and conferences
Assist in preparation and execution of Management visits and related activities
3-5 years in finance (project, structured, or corporate)
Understanding of investing in emerging markets (MAS and INR sectors)
Demonstrated interest in business development and client relationship management
Knowledge of IFC products, risk appetite, and financing requirements
Financial and credit analysis skills; ability to contribute to transaction structuring
Strong business judgment for identifying potential partners
Ability to interact effectively with senior management of clients and partners
Strong teamwork and cross-cultural collaboration skills
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver high-quality work on schedule
Excellent English and Italian;
French a plus
