About the Role
The Senior Finance, Administration & Governance Officer (m/f/d) for CLC South is a key operational role responsible for ensuring the efficient management of financial, administrative, legal and governance activities of EIT Raw Materials in Italy. Acting as the primary local coordination point, the role serves as a bridge between the Italian entity and EIT Raw Materials Headquarters, ensuring that local requirements, regulations and operational needs are effectively aligned with the organisation's policies, procedures and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary operational contact for financial, administrative, legal and governance matters related to the Italian entity.
Coordinate and align local Italian requirements with EIT Raw Materials corporate policies, procedures and reporting obligations.
Manage and maintain financial and administrative documentation, ensuring accurate filing and record-keeping.
Support monthly financial operations, including invoice processing, bank statement management and payroll coordination.
Oversee expense tracking, travel reimbursements and related financial administration.
Monitor cash flow requirements and support financial planning activities in coordination with Headquarters.
Prepare regular financial reports and contribute to quarterly and annual reporting processes.
Support the preparation of annual financial statements and assist in audit processes.
Act as the key point of contact for external accountants, auditors, payroll providers, legal advisors, banks and public authorities.
Support year-end closing activities and ensure compliance with applicable Italian regulations and internal governance requirements.
Provide administrative support related to legal and governance matters, including documentation, reporting and compliance activities.
Assist in organising corporate governance activities, including stakeholder meetings and statutory reporting requirements.
Collaborate closely with Headquarters and cross-functional teams to ensure transparency, consistency and timely execution of activities.
Identify operational risks and proactively address issues before they become critical.
Support activities related to EU-funded projects and public funding programmes where relevant.
Handle ad‑hoc financial, administrative and governance‑related tasks as required.

Key Requirements

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a relevant discipline.
Proven experience in finance, administration, accounting or a comparable operational role.
Strong understanding of Italian financial and administrative requirements.
Solid knowledge of financial processes, reporting and compliance.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage priorities independently.
Highly reliable, structured and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Hands‑on attitude with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with external stakeholders such as accountants, auditors, legal advisors or public authorities.
Good proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Fluency in both Italian and English is mandatory.
Experience working in an international organisation or European environment is highly desirable.

Experience with EU‑funded projects, European funding programmes or grant management is a strong advantage.
Availability to join within a short timeframe is highly appreciated.
