The Role
We take on a small number of analysts, and we invest deeply in each of them. This is a front‑line role from the outset: you will work directly with the partners, alongside the clients and investors at the centre of our most significant mandates, across both our advisory work (MA, capital markets and financing, and strategic advisory) and our investment activity.
The work is demanding and the standards are exacting. In return, you will be given responsibility, exposure, and a breadth of experience that few analyst seats in the market can offer.
What You'll Do
Advisory:
Build and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation (DCF, trading and transaction comparables, LBO), operating models, and returns analysis
Prepare client‑facing materials including pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations, board materials and company profiles among others
Conduct company, industry, and market research to support origination and live mandates
Support execution across the full deal lifecycle: due diligence, process management, data rooms, and coordination with legal, accounting, and other advisers
Assist in structuring and negotiating capital‑raising and financing solutions across debt and equity
Investing:
Screen and evaluate direct investment opportunities, including preliminary financial and commercial analysis
Contribute to investment memoranda and support the diligence process on prospective deals
Monitor portfolio performance and prepare investor and internal reporting
Help develop and pressure‑test investment theses alongside the deal team
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or Master's degree with an outstanding academic record. Finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline preferred, though we welcome exceptional candidates from any background
1–3 years of relevant experience;
we will consider outstanding recent graduates as well as candidates with prior internships or experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction services, consulting, or corporate finance
Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills, with a strong command of Excel and Power Point
Sharp analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail
Fluent written and spoken Italian and English
Professional maturity, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple work streams under pressure
A genuine interest in both advising clients and investing — you are drawn to the dual nature of a merchant bank
Nice to Have
Prior experience in MA, leveraged finance, private equity, or a principal‑investing environment
Additional European languages
