Fincrime Analyst (Relocation to Luxembourg) ut the role Satispay is on the lookout for a committed Fincrime Analyst to join our dynamic Fincrime Operations team based in Luxembourg. In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in protecting our financial services platform by actively identifying and addressing potential illicit activities as they arise. What you'll do   Conduct thorough analyses of a high volume of transaction monitoring alerts, making informed decisions regarding complex customer behaviors.
Handle escalated alerts by performing in-depth investigations to ascertain whether formal reporting is warranted.
Collaborate with Product and Data teams by providing insightful, data-driven feedback aimed at enhancing the precision of monitoring protocols.
Optimize alert management processes to reduce false positives, thereby improving overall operational efficiency.
Guide and mentor junior analysts in transaction analysis, documentation practices, and recognizing patterns in data.
Keep meticulous records for each alert to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a defensible audit trail.
Investigate new and emerging trends in financial crime, translating your findings into actionable detection rules ready for implementation.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights and strategies for improving the effectiveness of our fraud detection systems.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure our operations align with current standards.
Contribute to the development of training materials and resources for new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Collaborate with law enforcement and regulatory bodies as needed to support investigations and compliance efforts.
Requirements   At least 3 years of relevant experience in transaction monitoring, fraud operations, or Know Your Transaction (KYT) surveillance within fintech, digital banking, or high-volume payment sectors.
Comprehensive knowledge of payment processes, velocity patterns, and regulatory frameworks, including FATF guidelines, EU Directives, and PSD3/SCA regulations.
Proficiency in querying and manipulating extensive datasets using SQL, along with experience in analytics tools such as Looker, Splunk, HEX, or Redshift.
Demonstrated capability to identify deficiencies in automated detection models and suggest logical, data-driven solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain concentration while managing a high volume of alerts.
Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
Nice to have   Professional certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) would be advantageous.
Familiarity with machine learning techniques as they apply to fraud detection and prevention.
Experience in developing and implementing training programs for team members in transaction monitoring and fraud analysis.
