Job Overview  The Service Account Manager Italy North-East is responsible for managing and developing service sales activities in the North‑East Italian region. The role requires collaboration with the Local Service Unit (LSU) Sales Manager, sales teams of Service Business Units, and other relevant stakeholders within Hitachi Energy. Based in North Italy, the Service Account Manager will visit customers at least 2–3 days per week to strengthen relationships and ensure effective service delivery.
Responsibilities  Service Sales Strategy  
• Adopt, plan, and implement local and hub service sales strategies and targets related to the entire service portfolio, including lifecycle management, service products, solutions, and installed base (IB) penetration.

• Deliver and exceed targets in terms of orders, GM%, response time, and customer satisfaction for the full-service portfolio.

• Forecast accurate sales orders using SFDC and improve data quality.

• Negotiate major contracts to secure service order volume.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships, generating leads by analyzing IB potential.

• Coordinate with account managers to follow service‑focused account plans and with segment and channel managers to identify and pursue leads.

• Establish long‑term customer relationships with key customers and decision‑makers by understanding requirements and regulations and demonstrating value proposition for service.

• Ensure customer satisfaction issues are registered and responded to.

• Collaborate with Business Units and account teams to position service offerings, share insights on installed base data, sales leads, customer and competitor solutions, and marketing trends.

• Work with stakeholders on the delivery of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Lead and support marketing activities and events such as trade shows, conferences, and customer events.

• Support product launches by executing commercialization plans and promotional activities.

Customer Approach  
• Build long‑term customer relationships by understanding requirements, regulations, and demonstrating high expertise in technical solutions and products.

• Register and respond to customer satisfaction issues.
Sales Processes  
• Participate in sales activities as needed.

• Collaborate with Business Units and account teams to position different service offerings.

• Share information on installed base data, sales leads, customer and competitor solutions, and marketing trends.
Health, Safety, and Integrity  
• Monitor client financial status and report any changes regarding risk to internal partner teams.

• Identify and manage potential risks related to contract agreements across customers and channels.

• Promote Hitachi Energy HSE and Sustainability culture and vision to clients to gain commitment.
Personal Leadership and Development  
• Drive sales efficiency by ensuring adequate selling skills and sharing best practices with colleagues.

• Demonstrate a "One Hitachi" approach and support colleagues as needed.
Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Demonstrable experience in service sales, including IB management.
Strong customer relationship skills.
Proven understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products.
Experience working within the energy sector.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Willingness and ability to travel and visit customers in North‑East Italy at least 2–3 days per week.
