Are you ready to launch your career in manufacturing engineering? We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our Site Manufacturing Engineering Team in Rome, NY. This role is rewarding and exciting, both active in the production environment and in the development of new and improved aerospace manufacturing processes.
You will be joining over 200 employees responsible from design to delivery of our product, all in one facility. The Rome Facility lies in the Mohawk Valley of Upstate New York, a growing technology hub with availability to various lifestyles within a 20-minute commute. The international airport in Syracuse, NY is 45 minutes away and we benefit from a relative low-cost of living in New York State.

The role requires significant direct interaction with products and operations and is therefore an onsite role at our facility in Rome, NY.
What You Will Do
- The role will be supporting a manufacturing cell, responsible for improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost through applying scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement solutions. The work is independent and as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating in real time using the latest communication tools. The primary customer is our operations team, which will utilize the technologies, components, machines, tools, and systems we provide to produce critical flight safety components.
- Process Design - Plans and designs manufacturing processes utilizing materials, specifications, tolerances, equipment, fixtures, tooling, and work instructions.
- Strategic Planning - Collaborates with operations and design to support existing product line activities and/or operational process modifications to help enhance products and processes and ensure future business needs are met.
- Problem Solving - Works autonomously with limited supervision to investigate and resolve manufacturing issues, utilizing root cause analysis and other problem-solving techniques to implement effective solutions spanning multiple areas.
- Data Analytics - Monitors established processes via data collection for statistical analysis and conveys technical results to influence others.
- Quality Assurance - Monitors quality control procedures to ensure that processes and products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Documentation and Compliance - Maintains accurate documentation of manufacturing processes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
