JOB OVERVIEW:

Job Opening: Personal Care Aide - must be certified PCA*, HHA or CNA
Branch: Utica, NY
Job Location(s): VA home care clients in Rome NY
Rate: $19.75 / hour for VA casework
Available Shifts: Day shifts - 2 to 4 hours with each client, may travel to see 3-4 clients per day depending on shift length.

* If you have had at least 3 months of previous hands-on caregiving experience in the last three years, you may qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class.

Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license, and be willing to drive clients to appointments if necessary. May also run errands/shop for clients (mileage paid).

• Must be certified Personal Care Aide, HHA, or CNA (expired PCA or HHA ok)
• Will transition CNA to HHA with a free one-day class
• Nursing students may be able to work for us as HHA's - ask us how!

• Must be caring, dependable, & must meet health requirements
• Reliable vehicle &valid driver's license required
• Must be 18 or older

DUTIES: Your day might include: providing a safe way for clients to feel clean and refreshed (personal care); learning some new recipes and preparing meals; tidying their home to keep them healthy and being sure they follow their medication schedule.
