Work Schedule:

07:00 PM-07:30 AM

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Stepdown patients.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and accurately interpret EKG rhythms.
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips, including Cardizem and other IV medications.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver wound care and manage complex patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Float between Med Surg and Stepdown units as needed.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Certification required before start
• Strong IV therapy skills
• Experience managing cardiac drips
• Proficiency in reading telemetry/EKG strips
• Experience providing wound care
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday
• Completion of an additional 8 hours of CEUs during facility orientation
