Job Summary
We are seeking an Office Clerk/Bookkeeper to join our team. We are a small business and need someone who is willing to wear many hats. This is a part-time position: 3 days a week, 15-20 hours per week depending on workflow. No weekends. Focus: matching invoices with shippers. As an Office Clerk, you will answer the phones, perform bookkeeping, direct calls, handle customer questions, and file paperwork.
The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, experience in an office environment, and strong organizational skills.
- Answer phones, assist customers with questions, and direct calls
- Process incoming paperwork, make photocopies, and file paperwork
- Sort mail and distribute it to the appropriate places
- Maintain records, physical or electronic, of business transactions
- Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Purchasing
- Great customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with computer programs, such as Sage 50, ACT!, Microsoft Office and Adobe software
