Adjunct Faculty, English Studies, First- Writing

Position: Adjunct Faculty, English Studies, First-Year Writing
Adjunct Faculty will teach classes in the Department of English Studies, on an as needed basis. The Department is seeking a specialist in Rhetoric-Composition.

Responsibilities

Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

* Teach one or more classes in the First-Year Writing Program

* Actively participate in First-Year Writing professional development

* Availability to hold office hours and meet with other faculty members and department chairs or directors when necessary

* Serve as a model of professionalism and act as a resource for students within the teaching-learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in Rhetoric-Composition and experience in teaching a range of college writing courses from a process approach supported with digital composing technologies. Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications Essential Duties Work hours

Part-time; as needed basis.
