Early Childhood Teacher-STLR

Duties

VACANCY:
The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Early Childhood teaching position for the  school year.

JOB SUMMARY:

The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for: planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of multiply disabled preschoolers with a wide range of needs and abilities; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques.

Qualifications

* Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Early Childhood endorsement and Early Childhood Special Education Approval

* Satisfactory special education teaching experience

* Knowledge of Work Sampling and Creative Curriculum preferred

* Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and the Illinois Early Learning Standard

* Knowledge of current teaching techniques of children with disabilities

* Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP's)

* Ability to provide help in modifying instructional materials for students assigned

* Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and parents
