Position Overview- Design and deliver specialized academic and intense social-emotional support to K-2 students within the structured, self-contained environment.
- Facilitate and support student integration into general education classrooms, gradually increasing on demonstrated positive coping strategies and behavior management.
- Develop and implement students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring instruction meets the unique needs of a specialized learning community.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement (Required) - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students needing intermediate to intense social/emotional support
- Experience with CPI or similar crisis intervention techniques (Highly Preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish) fluency is a plus
- Top Compensation:
Earn $39.60 - $52.90 Per Hour
