Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Early Childhood Special Education teaching position for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of multiply disabled preschoolers with a wide range of needs and abilities; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning;

and employing effective instructional techniques.

Qualifications include current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Early Childhood endorsement and Early Childhood Special Education Approval ESL endorsement required. Satisfactory special education teaching experience, knowledge of Work Sampling and Creative Curriculum preferred. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and the Illinois Early Learning Standard, knowledge of current teaching techniques of children with disabilities, ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP's), ability to provide help in modifying instructional materials for students assigned, and excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and parents are required.
