9 AM to 7 PM;
Monday - Friday Shift: Morning Position Overview The Training Department is looking for a highly motivated EAT Instructor to enhance the competencies of individual employees by facilitating skills training that will boost employees' workplace performance, safety, and quality in alliance with the company's core values. This position is responsible for delivering and facilitating the Sealed Air Engineered Analytical Training ISD skills development process, which includes New Employee Introduction, Basic Skills, Skills Application, Training and Production Qualification phases.
This includes classroom instructions, shopfloor instructions, and administering skills assessments. The EAT Instructor will report directly to the Training Coordinator.
- Successfully oversee the trainee skills development through each EAT development phase
- Conduct classroom training utilizing E.A.T. manuals and procedures
- Work with Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to ensure EAT's incorporate each function's core values
- Write, update, and maintain EAT training manuals and materials
- Monitor Work Group Instructors (WGI's) to ensure compliance with EAT standards
- Maintain training consistency by conducting shopfloor training according to E.A.T. procedures
- Promote trainee success by recognizing, coaching, documenting, and reporting trainee issues in a timely manner
- Monitor training requirements by verifying trainees' ability to perform the basic job duties prior to release into qualification
- Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employee work behavior
- Administer, track, and maintain necessary training documents to include, but not limited to, progress reports and skills analysis
- Ensure training weekly reports and department training KPIs are updated and accurate
- Maintain department annual training plan to meet business needs
- Write Standard Work (events & operator routine) for department in alignment with PMS standards
- Ensure department skills matrices are accurate and up-to-date
- Develop, deliver and track training Single Point Lessons
- Develop or oversee the production of classroom visuals, handouts, instructional materials, and aids to support the trainee learning
- Facilitate Shopfloor awareness training, safety, quality, and SQF training
- Conduct Risk Assessments as needed to improve EAT safety awareness and training
- Other duties or projects as deemed necessary
- Work closely with the Training Supervisor to ensure training meets corporate standards. (Training will be provided)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess a strong background in Sealed Air E.A.T. procedures and methodologies
- E.A.T. certification preferred or willing to acquire EAT certification
- Work Group Instructor experience preferred or willing to acquire Work Group certification
- Excellent overall job performance
- Role model in the area of safety and quality
- Must be a highly motivated, self-starter capable of prioritization and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills and the ability to interact effectively through all levels of the organization
- Must have a willingness to lead and drive the E.A.T. training program, to include taking initiative to research resources within the Company and work well with trainers and operators from other locations
- Instructors must be willing to work night shift and/or weekends if needed and may be asked to return to original job if workload, customer satisfaction, and/or job performance becomes a concern.
- Previous experience coordinating group activities/developing departmental training plans preferred
- Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
Note:
EAT Instructor may be required to work on the shop floor in the event of extremely high overtime if there are no trainees and the Training Supervisor approves the request.
