Valley View Public School District is seeking a full-time Bilingual School Counselor for the  school year.

The counselor reports to the Building Principal and is responsible for planning instructional periods that meet student interests and abilities, creating a conducive learning environment, and employing effective counseling techniques.

• Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License in School Counselor (PK-12) with Bilingual Education Endorsement or (ELS) Educator License with Stipulations in Spanish or Bilingual Proficiency Exam.
• 6-8 years of teaching and counseling experience (preferred).
• Skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning, and appropriate record keeping.
• Effective communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.
• Willingness to participate in co-curricular programs as sponsor, supervisor or coach.

Salary in accordance with the teacher salary schedule and fringe benefits, including life, health and dental insurance.
