Rasmussen University is currently building a bench team for Nursing programs at all of our Illinois campus locations. This is not an active open position; all applications will be kept on file for future Full‑Time or Part‑Time/Adjunct consideration when opportunities arise.

We offer flexible work schedules and ongoing training and support for our instructors.

Instructors are responsible for teaching courses in a variety of modalities while promoting and supporting the vision and mission of Rasmussen University. Instructors will generally teach 4.5‑5.5 work units each quarter, equaling a full‑time work schedule.

Adjunct instructors are responsible for teaching lecture, laboratory, and/or clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned. These courses may be on campus or at off‑site clinical partner locations. This is a part‑time role and adjunct instructors are generally scheduled to teach 1‑2 work units each quarter.

The instructor reports to the Nursing Administrator. Depending on location, this may be an Area Dean of Nursing or Dean of Nursing.

• Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) required for all Full‑Time roles;
  Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) may be acceptable for certain Part‑Time/Adjunct roles.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with no encumbrances.
• Active CPR certification from either the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience as an RN; 2+ years preferred.
• Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
• Self‑motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
• Proof of professional licenses/certifications, official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution, and applicable faculty immunization documentation required.

Full‑Time Instructor: $69,400.00 to $93,700.00 per annum (market competitive).

Part‑Time/Adjunct Instructor: $38.00 to $60.00 per hour.

The compensation structure is designed to reward performance and takes into account factors such as job level, location, skill set, experience, and organizational needs. Ranges are subject to change.
