VACANCY
The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full‑time School Psychologist position for the 2026‑2027 school year.
JOB SUMMARYThe psychologist works cooperatively with school personnel, the Building Principal and the Director of Special Education to identify, diagnose and remediate students with specialized needs. The role includes conducting assessments, reporting results for entitlement and re‑evaluation processes, and supporting instruction through counseling. The psychologist applies knowledge of problem‑solving, curriculum‑based measures and response to intervention.
QUALIFICATIONS- Current Illinois PEL Professional Educator License with a School Psychologist (PK‑21) endorsement.
- Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, parents and SRT, and a willingness to ensure ongoing communication.
- Experience in special education psychology, group counseling, peer mediation, parent training and behavior‑management/intervention strategies.
- Additional duties may be assigned in accordance with Board policies and requirements.
Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule. The district offers health, dental, life insurance and other benefits:
