Adjunct Faculty, Pharmacy Technician Program

Position Summary

This is an adjunct teaching position. Applicants must have knowledge of sterile products, pharmacy compounding, institutional pharmacy, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmacy records and inventory management, and an extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations. The position may include day and/or night instruction.

• Foster an educational environment that is supportive of the Lasallian Mission.
• Maintain an approved syllabus and daily lesson plan outlining course content and learning objectives.
• Utilize a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate the learning styles of a diverse student body.
• Administer and grade quizzes, tests, and exams.
• Actively work to maintain a high level of student enrollment by maintaining accurate daily attendance and communicating attendance and other student concerns with the Director of Pharmacy Technician program.

A minimum of an associate degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, a minimum of five years proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, industry certification, previous teaching or training experience desired, and applicant proficiency with computer technology and strong organization skills.

• Prior college/university teaching experience.
