The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Cross Categorical teaching position for the school year.
JOB SUMMARYThe Cross-Categorical teacher is responsible for planning and delivering instructional lessons that meet the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities, creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques. Additional duties as may from time to time be assigned in accordance with provisions of the Board's policies and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS- Endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist (LBSI)
- Expertise in Behavior Management strategies
- Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP's)
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Satisfactory special education teaching experience
Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule. The District offers excellent fringe benefits including life, health and dental insurance.
