ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – VERTICAL CONSTRUCTION
Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation's premier electrical and general contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for an Electrical Engineer.
Electrical Engineer Compensation & Benefits:Total compensation for the Electrical Engineer is $115,000 - $160,000.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Engineering & Technical Support
- Provide engineering support and technical expertise for large-scale vertical construction projects valued at $5M+
- Support projects including high-rise (6+ stories), multifamily, office, cold storage, battery plants, industrial, and data/mission-critical facilities
- Review and analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct engineering calculations and analyses to support project execution
- Provide technical guidance to project managers, superintendents, and field personnel
- Resolve technical issues and design conflicts during construction
- Participate in design review and constructability analysis during preconstruction phase
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and design consultants on electrical system design
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving measures
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and product data for compliance with design intent
- Coordinate electrical systems with other building systems (mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, low voltage)
- Support BIM coordination and clash detection efforts
- Assist estimating team with technical reviews and bid preparation for electrical projects
- Provide engineering input on material selections, system design, and installation methods
- Participate in preconstruction planning and scope development
- Support bid leveling and subcontractor evaluation from a technical perspective
- Review specifications and drawings to ensure estimating accuracy and completeness
- Support project teams during construction phase with technical problem-solving
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation quality and code compliance
- Ensure all electrical work meets NEC requirements, local codes, and industry standards
- Review and approve field changes and design modifications
- Coordinate with commissioning teams on system testing and startup
- Support punch list resolution and closeout documentation
- Utilize Procore, Sage, Bluebeam, and Accubid Enterprise for project support
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, RFIs, and technical submittals
- Support development of as-built drawings and O&M documentation
- Stay current with electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Communicate effectively with clients, owners, architects, and engineering consultants
- Participate in project meetings and technical discussions
- Build and maintain professional relationships with design professionals and industry partners
- Represent the company in technical discussions and presentations
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in construction or design-build environment
- Strong experience with vertical construction including high-rise (6+ stories), multifamily, office, cold storage, battery plants, industrial, and/or data/mission‑critical projects
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Accubid Enterprise, Procore, and Sage
- Strong knowledge of NEC, local electrical codes, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience with electrical design calculations, load analysis, and system sizing
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and technical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience working in both union and non‑union environments preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with double‑breasted operations (union and non‑union)
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- LEED AP certification
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical design software
- Experience with design‑build or design‑assist project delivery methods
- Familiarity with data center or mission‑critical facility electrical systems
- OSHA 30 certification
