Overview

The Quality Auditor ensures logistics center processes meet established SOPs by performing daily audits, documenting findings, and communicating results to management. The role partners with the Training Specialist to identify root causes, support functional and equipment training, and contribute to continuous improvement. Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills are essential, along with two years of logistics center experience, system application proficiency, and the ability to work independently in an on-site distribution environment.

  • Performs a documented examination and verification of 1% of all logistics center (LC) job tasks/functions each day (receiving, put-away, picking, and packing).
  • Audits focus on quality standards documented by the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Records findings into the LC Audit database, and communicates them to LC management.
  • Works with the onsite Training Specialist to determine root causes and assists in developing a training plan to correct where applicable.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conducts 1% audits on all LC job functions daily; enters audit findings into audit database and reports findings to LC management; assists Training Specialist in determining root cause of findings.
  • Maintains local files generated from each audit.
  • Assists Training Specialist with functional training and MHE training where needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Participates in facility continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Meets attendance and punctuality standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required
  • Effectively uses relevant material handling equipment.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills with willingness to lead, create new ideas, and assertively drive initiatives.
  • Assimilates research data from diverse sources, analyzes findings, and recommends appropriate courses of action.
  • Executes instructions and requests clarification when needed.
  • Facilitates group interactions to achieve objectives.
  • Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
  • Uses relevant computer system applications (including spreadsheets, word processors, databases) at an intermediate level.
  • Recognizes and attends to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
Required Experience and Education
  • High School/G.E.D.
  • 2+ years logistics center experience required
  • Experience using system applications to maintain logistics center functions, required.
  • Certifications:

    Equipment certification recommended
  • Working Conditions:

    Distribution center environment; remote field-based position.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Must have working knowledge of English language for training and safety purposes.
