Job SummaryThe Speech‑Language Pathologist will provide bilingual Spanish‑speaking students with consult, integrated, and direct services to support the speech goals as outlined in each student's IEP. They will also conduct screening and assessments as part of the IEP/evaluation process. Additional duties may be assigned in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policies and requirements.
Qualifications- Current Illinois Teaching Licensure in Speech Language Pathology
- Experience as a Speech‑Language Pathologist (Preferred)
- Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
- Ability to evaluate and interpret results for bilingual (Spanish) assessments
- Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, parents and the student resource team, and a willingness to ensure that such communication takes place
- Ability to help modify instructional materials for students assigned to his/her classroom
- Experience communicating with bilingual (Spanish) families verbally and in writing
Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule. The District offers excellent fringe benefits, including life, health and dental insurance. Clinical fellowship supervision is available.
