Warehouse Lead – Forklift Operations

Location: Romeoville, IL

Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (2nd Shift)

Pay: $24/hr + Overtime

The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for supervising all forklift operators on 2nd shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate movement of product throughout the cold‑storage facility. This role requires a confident leader who can direct workflow, maintain safety standards, and keep the team aligned with production goals.

• Lead, supervise, and support all forklift operators during 2nd shift
• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure productivity and accuracy
• Oversee forklift operations including receiving, put‑away, replenishment, picking, staging, and shipping
• Ensure all forklift activity follows food‑safety, cold‑storage, and OSHA standards
• Operate forklifts as needed to support team workflow
• Conduct safety checks, equipment inspections, and enforce proper operating procedures
• Train new forklift operators on warehouse processes and safe equipment use
• Communicate with supervisors, production teams, and logistics to resolve issues quickly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit‑ready warehouse environment

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Lead or senior warehouse associate
• Must have forklift experience (stand‑up, sit‑down, reach truck, or similar equipment)
• Experience supervising or directing forklift operators strongly preferred
• Ability to work in cold storage
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2 PM – 10 PM) Monday–Friday
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
