The Engineering Technician – Process & Continuous Improvement plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by applying engineering principles and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. This hands‑on role works closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams to identify opportunities, analyze data, and implement sustainable process improvements.

The position serves as a key link between engineering and the shop floor, ensuring that improvements are practical, measurable, and aligned with operational goals.

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes using engineering and Lean principles.
• Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and process mapping (including value stream mapping) to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize layout, material flow, and production methods.
• Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, scrap rates, downtime, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Assist in implementing 5S and visual management systems across production areas.
• Conduct process audits to ensure improvements are sustained and standards are followed.

• Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Basic understanding of process engineering concepts and production systems
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis); experience with ERP/MES systems is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process documentation is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with operators, engineers, and leadership
• Hands‑on, proactive mindset with a focus on practical solutions and measurable results
