Job Summary:
- A manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for performing preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment. This role focuses on troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. The technician will also maintain maintenance records and coordinate with operators and other maintenance personnel across shifts to support efficient plant operations.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical or operational issues with machinery and equipment.
- Assemble, disassemble, adjust, repair, and lubricate machinery components as needed.
- Inspect machine parts for wear, damage, or performance issues and replace or repair components when required.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
- Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform basic welding repairs on damaged equipment components when necessary.
- Assist with minor fabrication of parts and components as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs and communicate issues or updates to operators and other shifts.
- Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures and ensure equipment is safely shut down when not in use.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
- Provide cross-functional support such as assisting with training new team members or supporting operational tasks when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, mechanical certifications, or a related degree preferred.
- Several years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and production machinery.
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience working with PLC troubleshooting and maintenance is beneficial.
- Welding and basic fabrication experience is a plus.
- Experience working with specialized converting or packaging machinery is preferred.
