Warehouse Forklift Operator Material Handler

Ryder is hiring Forklift Operators in Romeoville, Illinois offering weekly pay, extensive benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $3.00 per hour shift pay
• Schedule:
  
  Wednesday night 11:55 pm–6:00 am;
  Thursday–Saturday 6:00 pm–6:00 am

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours of production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual with a good attendance record.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possesses a high degree of initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Familiar with health and safety methods.
• Flexible schedule for various work shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
