Job Summary:

The Quality Technician is responsible for product quality by ensuring products meet both customer expectations and CTI's production cost requirements. This role will provide technical support on all projects, identify quality process, perform root cause analysis, perform PPAP inspections, perform in process inspections and assist in the quality improvement projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop quality documents and process for value added parts.
  • Responsible for developing process inspection sheets, including balloon drawings used by production for first article and in process inspection.
  • Work with New Products Manager to support PPAP, PFMEA, and Process flow & control plans.
  • Perform inspection using portable CMM (at times may need to develop CMM programs)
  • Inspect outsourced parts and report any non-conformances.
  • Support corrective action implementation across processes.
  • Assist in developing quality procedures (where applicable)
  • Analyze all process data with various statistical tools.
  • Assist in processing re-work jobs.
  • Reviewing and revising testing procedures.
  • Conducting inspection checks on production parts and processes.
  • Ensuring employees adhere to safety and quality regulations.
  • Reporting safety and quality infringements to the QA manager.
  • Calibrating and cleaning testing equipment.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in manufacturing engineering or related field and over 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the PPAP and new parts implementation process
  • Ability to read/ interpret technical drawings/ blueprints, including GD&T and using various measuring tools including calipers and portable CMM.
  • Knowledge with bending and fabrication process is preferred but not required.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
