QA Lead

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to guide quality assurance activities for a long-term contract opportunity in Romeoville, Illinois. This role will oversee testing strategy, coordinate validation efforts with cross-functional partners, and help ensure business and technical requirements are thoroughly verified before release. The ideal candidate brings strong manual testing expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to support both quality assurance and business analysis needs in a complex enterprise environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Directing the end-to-end QA lifecycle, including test planning, execution oversight, defect tracking, and final validation activities.
• Partnering with business teams, project stakeholders, and technical staff to convert functional needs into practical test scenarios and measurable acceptance criteria.
• Leading user acceptance testing efforts by organizing schedules, guiding participants, and confirming outcomes align with business expectations.
• Developing and maintaining structured testing assets such as test plans, test cases, scripts, and quality standards to support consistent delivery.
• Performing hands-on manual testing across applications and workflows to identify issues, verify fixes, and support release readiness.
• Coordinating system integration and end-to-end testing to confirm data flow, functionality, and performance across interconnected platforms.
• Supporting large-scale modernization or legacy platform replacement initiatives by ensuring quality checkpoints are built into project delivery.
• Using Jira or comparable tools to document defects, monitor resolution progress, and provide clear status updates to stakeholders.
• Contributing in a secondary business analysis capacity when needed, including clarifying requirements and documenting business processes.
