** Quality Assurance Supervisor Quality Assurance Manager Key Accountabilities The person in this position will be heavily involved in the day to day operations at the Romeoville, IL facility. This person will be working in tandem with the QA Supervisor to ensure all food safety measures and quality parameters are being met as required. This person will also be asked to assist Operations to ensure we are meeting our customer’s expectations, while adhering to the internal expectations set by Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing the daily pre-operational inspections

Collecting ATP swabs on a daily basis to validate the effectiveness of sanitation

Collecting allergen validation swabs on a monthly basis

Oversight of the labelling room and assisting in the printing of labels for the master cases

Conducting daily SSOP operational inspections as part of USDA requirements

Collecting finished pizza samples; keeping sample area cleaned and organized

Reviewing and verifying receiving records and QA paperwork for accuracy

Update GKMS documents and paperwork when a discrepancy or change is made Leading and assisting QA team in day to day operations

Work with Operations and other department on resolving food safety and quality issues

Understanding the Shipping and Receiving process to fill in if the Shipping/Receiving tech is absent

If asked, carry out projects for the QA Manager or QA Supervisor Providing daily / weekly scheduling for the QA Technicians Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the BRCstandard.

Place product on Hold and off Hold systematically when needed

Placing maintenance / sanitation work orders

Accompany USDA inspector on daily walk through of facility.

Send daily shift email (USDA walk through and Holds)
Process improvement
- Finding ways to make tasks easier while still in compliance with SOP’sUpkeeping with documentation and other adminstative duties.

Duties include
- Weekly hold log update, NCR findings spreadsheet, temperature logs, calibration records, retain sample log, work orders, Supplier NCR’s, etc.

Perform internal audits when scheduled by the Compliance Coordinator Assign the QA Tech tasks for the following day production and pre-op Train and re-train QA members when needed or asked

Report any employee discrepancies to QA Supervisor, QA Manager, or corresponding department supervisor or manager.

Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.

Food Safety / Quality:

Adhere to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan.

Follow all USDA guidelines

Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance

Comply with customer requirements when applicable

Required:

Prior knowledge of a USDA facility

Prior FSQA position

Flexible scheduling (ability to change quickly)
Ability to work weekends

Overtime when necessary

Ability to send emails to management, suppliers, and laboratory

Work in tandem with other FSQA leads

Skills, Experience & Qualifications High School, but an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s a plus1-2 years in a USDA environment

Bilingual ability (Spanish) is a plus Basic skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Alternate (back up) for this position:

Alternate QA Supervisor Alternate QA Manager Food Safety/Quality Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance.

Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate attention.
