Shift Leader - Romeoville, IL

We are the pro shop located inside the Canlan Ice Sports Arena.

If you love hockey, care about gear, and enjoy leading ateam, this might be the job for you! We’re looking for a Full-Time Shift Lead to help runour hockey retail store and deliver an awesome experience to every customer whowalks through the door.

The Details

• Full-time:40 hours per week, typically 4–5 days
• Pay:$18–$24/hour + 1.5x overtime
• Paid Time Off (PTO)

Evenings, weekends, and some holidays required

• Willing to cover & trade shifts
• Sharpening Ice Skates
• Fitting/Selling Hockey Skates and Equipment

• Use POS Systems and Computers Daily
• Navigate inventory across multiple Locations
• Assist with inventory transfers
• Communicate via email, phone, and internal messgaing
• Use online resources to grow your hockey and equipment knowledge
• Ensure every customer is helped
• Lead staff on daily tasks & projects
• Hold team members accountable for keeping the store looking great

• Fit customers with the right equipment
• General maintenance and deodorizing
• Skate blade profiling
• Skate repairs - Rivets, eyelets, blades, holders, tonuges, tendon guards
• Basic sewing - velcro, elastic, glove patches, etc.

• Retail experience (lead or keyholder experience is a plus)
• Strong hockey and equipment knowledge (or willingness to learn)
• Reliable,flexible, and team-oriented
• Comfortable leading others and taking initiative

$18-$24/hr + 1.5 x OT.
Weekly direct deposit.
