Business Development Representative – Romeoville, IL
Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team in Romeoville, Illinois.
Shift / Schedule8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CDT, Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekends. Must work at least one day per week in the Romeoville office.
TravelPosition requires approximately 90% travel.

What You'll Do- Marketing and selling of inspection and laboratory testing services
- Represent the company daily to clients and on business occasions such as trade shows
- Support sales management plans by maintaining effective customer relations and ensuring continued market penetration and profitability through in‑depth calls to end users
- Identify and evaluate new markets and customers for existing products
- Identify and evaluate new product opportunities that fit our capabilities, addressing pricing and availability issues
- Evaluate and report customer feedback; resolve customer service–related issues concerning pricing and product availability
- Generate contracts, quotes, and orders for customers as required, using internal processes
- Provide input for sales forecasts (quarterly and yearly)
- Generate monthly sales activity logs through the client tracking system
- Review product pricing as required and discuss client feedback relative to the industry
- Develop quality marketing materials
- Implement customer‑specific action plans
- Travel to visit customers and industry events
- Introduce new products and services to accounts, both within the Caleb Brett division and across all other divisions
- Develop new customers and perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager
- Perform additional work as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record
- At least 2 years of experience in petroleum logistics or sales
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Self‑starter with excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, time‑management, and selling skills
