As a Security Officer Checkpoint Monitor in Romeoville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This part‑time role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new opportunities through our Claim a Shift platform.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.04 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM;
Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM;
Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established protocols.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts, policy violations, and unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills, including assisting with alarms, medical events, and operational disruptions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, screening stations, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and support daily site operations.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
