Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This maintenance mechanic will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following diagrams, reading operation manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions. This is a union role.

• Maintain the safe working condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds
• Construct fixtures as required
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled
• Repair facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds
• Remove and/or install fixtures and equipment for safe, efficient operation
• Troubleshoot systems to find causes of failures and recommend solutions for repair
• Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment, tools, and fixtures
• Other duties will be assigned as needed

• Forklift training and certification will be provided by the company as necessary
• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred
• Mechanical skills
• Electrical skills, preferred
• Welding skills preferred
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to review and understand basic machine blueprints
• Ability to use hand tools and basic machine shop equipment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• The hourly pay rate is $40.81/hr
