Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Stand‑Up Forklift Operator in Romeoville, Illinois, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a rewarding career.

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $0.75 per hour shift pay
• Schedule:
  
  C Shift – Wednesday 6:00 am – 12:00 pm, Thursday – Saturday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more related warehouse or powered‑industrial‑truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Team player and adaptable in a diverse environment
• Professional relationships across all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with good attendance
• Initiative and minimal supervision required
• High accuracy under pressure
• Physical: lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods
• Health and safety methods compliance
• Flexible schedule for various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background or customer‑specific requirements.

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Meet performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote‑induct, stage products and load/unload trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production
• Perform other duties as assigned
