Overview

Regional Midwest CDL Class A Driver with drop-and-hook operation for River Road Freight LLC, based in Romeoville, IL with operations also in Joliet, IL. Full-time regional route work with home every other day on dedicated lanes.

• Operate semi-trucks on regional routes within approximately 1,000 miles per round trip on dedicated lanes between distribution centers.
• Perform drop-and-hook freight when available and maintain efficient, compliant cycle times.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and technology; follow dispatch instructions and schedules to support reliable routes and shifts.
• Adhere to all safety, DOT, and company policies; complete required pre-trip inspections and on-time delivery practices.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers as needed; leverage GPS and handheld devices for navigation and updates.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Minimum age 21; clean driving record; successful DOT physical, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• No CDL suspensions, revocations, or disqualifying drug/alcohol issues in the last 5 years (including DWI/DUI).
• Positive MVR alignment with DOT requirements and a favorable Drive-A-Check (DAC) report.
• Ability to learn and use GPS, handheld technology, and smartphone apps.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); flexibility for Day/Evening/Night shifts and weekends.

• Hourly pay range: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour, with overtime pay at time-and-a-half after 40 hours, paid weekly.
• W2 employment with paid time off (minimum 2 weeks PTO per year for full-time), health, dental, and vision insurance.

• Consistent dispatching and a supportive, team-oriented environment; no-touch or minimal-touch freight where applicable.
